About

ANNE CARMICHAEL is an internationally renowned author, with fans in over 47 countries.
Her career began with 'Magoo Who: Life Through My Eyes', the story of a blind cat found on the streets of Philadelphia at age two. Goo has become the ambassador and social media darling, representing all specially-abled animals.
No one knew how Goo could possibly have survived on the streets of South Philly for two years without sight. That's where Carmichael came in. She created a fictional version of the two 'lost years'. Book One was warmly received; in fact, the readers clamored for more and the Magoo Who Series was soon followed by three more books: May I Be Frank, Silent Vigil and Magic & Miracles: A Homecoming.
In 2014, Anne released 'Darby at the Derby'. Living and working in the thoroughbred horse industry at the time, she saw an opportunity to inform her readers as to the work and financial considerations of raising a horse from birth to become one of the select few that run in the Kentucky Derby.
Later that year, 'Polar Opposites' was released just in time for the holiday season. This book generated a line of children's and infant's clothing, Christmas ornaments and gifting supplies, which have now become collectibles.
In 2016 Anne spent the entire year writing her first full-length adult mystery novel. 'Elderhaus' was released in December and has gone on to be selected as the Kentuckiana Authors July Book of the Month and has been called 'The Beach Book of the Summer'. An intriguing and suspense-filled story of the Klingenfelter family, who settled the fictional town of Pitch Pine, Pennsylvania after fleeing Nazi Germany during WWII. 'Elderhaus' will keep you on the edge of your seat, as the secrets of the old Victorian mansion are revealed in a riveting FBI investigation.
Anne Carmichael retired from her position in the horse industry in May of 2017 and released ‘The Manifest’, a paranormal thriller using factual train accidents in every era around the world throughout history, woven with fictional backstories about the victims. A most unusual and enthralling collection of stories.
This year (2019) will bring the release of Anne’s first crime thriller, ‘The Passion Pit Murders’ by year’s end.
